THREE GENERATIONS OF WEDDINGS

The white ribbons tied to the wedding bands were a Mace-
donian tradition. In all Orthodox weddings, the rings are
placed on the right hands. In some areas the right hands
are tied together with a white cloth or ribbon for the duration
of the ceremony. This binding signifies the phrase, "where

One instance is known where within one family there were three weddings on the same altar at Annunciation. Each wedding was a generation apart.

On May 12, 1929, Vasa Stefanovich was married to Tom Tony (later changed to Petsef). Fr. Fousianis officiated.
